CX Services In The Community

At CX Services, we believe in giving back to the community, supporting local businesses and charities is an important part of who we are. We share some of the ways we have helped to make a positive impact on the community over the last couple of years!
Angel Tree
One of the charities we support is the Angel Tree. This is based in Dae-It-Yersel, in Dunoon. The Angel Tree is a programme that ensures less fortunate families are not left out at Christmas. This was an idea Helena McLay got from her friends from the States. There are many factors that cause families to be in the position of needing the support from the Angel Tree and most of the time through no fault of their own. Parents could have lost jobs, been moved to secure accommodation, addiction issues etc.
The support is growing year on year! In 2023 there were 55 families supported and 68 children within those families who all got 2 presents each- one item of clothing and one toy. Although this year there were less families there were almost double the amount of children. There were 38 families and over 90 children who all received 6 gifts each!
The Angel Tree is more of a community project but there were businesses that supported this year that were greatly appreciated. In 2024 we donated Bookpoint vouchers which we were told helped massively for older children who would not find much use out of a children’s toy and they were able to use this money in the local book store to get books for their studies and upcoming exams. And in 2023 we donated vouchers for butcher packs from the local butcher Kents.
Finding Your Feet
Our Managing Director Greg, is also a Trustee in Finding Your Feet. This is a non-profit organisation supporting families affected by amputation or limb absence through social inclusion and emotional well-being projects. Their mission is to combat isolation and improve quality of life for amputees by offering a range of inclusive activities, such as swimming, fitness classes, and peer support sessions.
A team of us took part in “It’s a Knockout” which was a fun, foam filled inflatable course! We managed to raise an amazing £640 for such a wonderful cause. Taking part in these events not only helps raise essential funds but also strengthens our own team spirit.
Local support
As a thank you gift to our team they all received a £10 Dunoon Gift Card in their Christmas Card to use from a range of different shops and services in and around Dunoon hereby supporting local businesses as and when we can.
We also held our annual Christmas Night Out at the 51st State, it was a great night for all! Our team works incredibly hard on behalf of our clients and our success is truly a testament to their dedication.
At Christmas we had our annual Christmas Jumper Day. We raised £67.42 which was topped up by the company to £500 and a charity donation made to Finding Your Feet. The team were rewarded with a buffet.
We have also been part of community sponsorships and partnerships. In 2023, 2024 and 2025 we were a Business Patron of the Cowal Highland Gathering. The Cowal Highland Gathering is one of the biggest and best-known Highland Games in the world. It takes place every year in Dunoon and brings together visitors and competitors from many different countries. The event is a great celebration of Scottish culture, with pipe bands, Highland dancing, races, and traditional events like caber tossing. We’re proud to support this well loved local event, which helps keep our traditions alive and brings a boost to the local economy. Whilst also providing a sponsorship package for Stay Fresh Fest- an annual, family friendly live music festival supporting local and national charities which takes place in Dunoon.
We remain dedicated to making a positive impact to our local community through fundraising, donations and partnerships. These efforts not only benefit the wider community whilst also bringing staff closer together.
