Proud Real Living Wage Employer

At CX Services, we are committed not just to delivering excellent service, but also to investing in our people and local communities. That is why we are proud to be a certified Real Living Wage employer, ensuring every employee earns enough to meet everyday costs and enjoy a decent standard of living.
This commitment is not just a policy, it is a reflection of who we are. From our headquarters in Argyll and Bute to our expanding sites, we believe that fair pay lays the foundation for a stronger, happier and more motivated workforce.
Why It Matters
The Real Living Wage is independently calculated each year based on the true cost of living. It is higher than the government’s National Living Wage and is paid voluntarily by over 14,000 employers across the UK.
This also has a wider impact. Paying a fair wage helps reduce in-work poverty, supports better mental wellbeing, and strengthens communities. When employees are paid properly, they are more engaged, loyal and empowered to do their best work. It is a win for everyone.
In our recent staff survey, 88% of team members said it is important that their employer pays the Real Living Wage. Many respondents told us it provides essential financial security, helps them manage rising inflation, and improves their overall quality of life. Allowing them to live, not just survive.
Growing With Purpose
Following our recent fifth anniversary, we are delighted to have brought new employment opportunities to Rothesay. Our expansion into Bute reflects a wider commitment to create sustainable jobs in rural Scotland, offering meaningful work and Real Living Wage pay.
As Operations Director Andy Hore shared in a recent article in The Herald:
“We are excited to be expanding and undertaking this new venture. Following our recent fifth anniversary we are delighted to be offering employment opportunities to another rural area in Scotland.”
“It has all been well received so far by the locals and we have had some great compliments from local businesses, so the community seems really happy that there are new opportunities for employment on the island, especially from a Real Living Wage employer whose head office is also based in Argyll and Bute.”
This step is about more than business growth. It is about creating opportunities in areas that are often overlooked, and doing so in a way that values people’s time, skills and commitment.
The Real Living Wage: More Than a Promise
Our accreditation as a Real Living Wage employer is not just about what we pay, it is about what we stand for. It influences how we recruit, how we retain and how we reward.
From the first day someone joins us, we want them to feel valued and fairly treated. That is why the Real Living Wage is central to our recruitment messages. It also supports our ambition to be an employer of choice in rural Scotland. With living costs continuing to rise, being paid fairly is not a luxury, it is essential. And we believe everyone deserves that security.
What Our Team Say
The Real Living Wage has made a real difference to many in the CX Services team. Here are just a few reflections from colleagues across the business:
“The Real Living Wage gives me peace of mind. I can pay bills on time and still save for the future.”
“It feels like we’re being recognised for our work, not just showing up for a paycheck.”
“It helps me budget better and makes a big difference when unexpected costs come up.”
At CX Services we’re proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer, and hope to inspire more employers to go beyond the minimum.
